Explain in your own words
Name the three primary colors and explain why they are called primary. Mix two to prove it.
Do you like to draw or paint? Knowing about primary colors is like having a secret superpower for making almost any color you can imagine!
What this means
Imagine you have a magic art kit. In this kit, there are three very special colors: Red, Yellow, and Blue. These three colors are called 'Primary Colors.'
They are called primary because they are like the first, most basic colors. You cannot make Red, Yellow, or Blue by mixing any other colors together. They are pure and stand on their own.
But here's the cool part! Even though you can't make them, you can use these three primary colors to create many, many other colors. It's like they are the building blocks of all other colors.
When you mix two primary colors, you get a new color. These new colors are called 'secondary colors.' For example, mixing blue and yellow will give you green.

What a great answer looks like
Harper identifies Red, Yellow, and Blue as the primary colors. She explains they are primary because you can't make them from other colors, but you can use them to make almost all other colors. Then, she takes yellow paint and blue paint, mixes them on a paper, and shows that they make green.
How to do this quest
